This Month's Digest
Away Days
This March digest comes after a six week period where I’ve been lucky enough to travel more than ever before, from Delhi to the Dolomites, Alicante to Frankfurt; each trip serving its own purpose. I love to travel and think it’s important not to underestimate the power of being in a new place: being exposed to different cultures and rhythms is so invigorating. In this Dispatch, I’ll be sharing some of my favourite spots I’ve found over the years, a tried and tested city guide to New York, and planning tips I swear by.
Great Intentions
I think it's good to set out the point of a trip clearly from the beginning - if I'm looking for inspiration I'll weave in some shopping spots; if my kids are joining I'll ask myself what will be exciting for them. You’ll naturally start to refine places to stay and visit with your intention in mind - it makes that initial overwhelming choice so much easier. You’ll often surpass your holiday’s objectives, too: I recently went on a wellness retreat to Sha in Spain for a overdue solo break away from work, motherhood and everything in between - hoping for relaxation and glowier skin, I came away with so much more both in body and spirit.

Match Your Mood
Inspiration // make a weekend around theLille Antiques Fair in September; visit a new corner of London you’re yet to explore - Eltham Palace is on my list; by visiting a smaller city you can cover entirely by foot - such as Stockholm - you feel you don't miss anything.
A recharge // the ultimate refresh at Sha Wellness or the retreats hosted at Trassiera; long winding walks in Cornwall ending with lunch at Flora; embrace a slower pace and crystal clear water further afield in Jamaica.
Seeking Sun // explore the mountains out of season - Switzerland in the summer is beautiful as is the Dolomites; island jumping via ferries in Greece means you can really cover ground away from crowds of tourists.
Sources of Inspiration
Look for smaller details: I’ve discovered amazing places I’d never have thought of thanks to an amazing restaurant, museum or shop nestled into a side street. Keep a note of spots around the world as you go - I’m constantly saving down places on Instagram - and you’ll find a trip naturally grows from that first source of inspiration.
Some of my saves: This outdoor restaurant in Biarritz | Arlington House in Margate | This swimming pool in Paris | Hauser and Wirth in Menorca | Coqui Coqui in Mexico City | This family-run restaurant in Malta | A creative retreat in Italy | This house in France | Hotel Vermelho in Portuga
